The university is a collegiate university with jurisdiction spread over the Union Territory of Puducherry located in Tamil Nadu (Pondicherry and Karaikal) , Kerela (Mahe) & Andhra Pradesh (Yanam) , Union Territory of Lakshadweep and Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

 Last date for applying for admission to various PG/Ph.D programmes extended till 17.08.2020.

All the full time scholars admitted to Ph.D.

be eligible for a fellowship of ` 8000/- p.m.
and a contingencies grant per year.

Rajiv Gandhi National 
Fellowship /
Maulana Azad National 
Fellowship
The UGC provides Rajiv Gandhi National
Fellowship for SC/ ST & OBC scholars
and Maulana Azad National fellowship
for minority scholars who pursue Ph.D.
programmes. Every year, the UGC notifies
the eligibility and other conditions
for the award of the said fellowships.

Ministry of New and 
Renewable
Energy(MNRE)
Ministry of New and Renewable Energy
(MNRE) selected CGET as nodal centre and
awards 15 M.Tech Fellowship and 5 Ph.D
Fellowship to admitted candidates having
GATE/CSIR qualification.
GATE Scholarship
UGC provides scholarship for GATE
qualified M.Tech students.

N.B.H.M. Scholarship
The National Board for Higher Mathematics,
Mumbai (Department of Atomic Energy)
provides scholarships for those students
who clear the NBHM examination.
Government of India SC/ST/OBC
Scholarship
The governments of various states provide
Government of India Scholarship to
candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC
communities.

The admission to the Ph.D Programmes
shall be made as per the following criteria
:
 Entrance Exam - 70 %
 Personal Interview &
Academic Record - 30 %
 NET/JRF qualified candidates with
fellowships will be given direct admission
to Ph.D. programmes. For further details

for Ph.D. Programmes”.
